Strait World is two people and a rented shelf. We started it because we kept buying the same four or five objects over and over — mugs that survive moves, a tote that never rips, chopsticks that don't warp — and wanted to save the searching for someone else.

We visit every maker before we carry anything. If a workshop won't let us stand in it, we don't list it. That's the whole quality process, and it's slow.

On shipping

Packages leave on Tuesdays and Fridays. We pack by hand, which is why we can't promise a two-day anything. Most orders reach Asia in six to nine days, and North America and Europe in ten to fourteen.

Returns

Thirty days, unused, you pay postage back. If it arrived broken, send a photo and it's on us.
